First European Open Virtual Assistant Workshop

Dear Friends,

Following the success of the First Open Virtual Assistant Workshop held at Stanford University in October 2019, we are excited to invite you to the First European Open Virtual Assistant Workshop. This event, to be held on March 20, 2020 at Nano-INNOV, Palaiseau, France, is organized by CEA and Stanford’s Open Virtual Assistant Lab(OVAL) and is supported by HiPeac, a European network of 2,000 computer scientists.

The goal of the workshop is to introduce OVAL lab’s open, federated, privacy preserving virtual assistant to the European research and business communities. Given the rapidly growing importance of conversational platforms, we also want to solicit feedback, trigger active collaboration to advance the virtual assistant’s open source technology, and enable European participation in a global ecosystem.

The workshop will present OVAL’s vision, technological advances, infrastructures, state-of-the-art tools to accelerate conversational platform development, a roadmap, a hands-on tutorial, and the programs for business, academia and research center participation and contribution to the development and commercial deployment of this critical technology. In addition, an interactive feedback session will be dedicated to discuss the creation of the European ecosystem.

We hope to see you there!

Space is limited, please register early at https://oval.hipeac.net.

Workshop organizers:
Marc Duranton, Research Fellow, CEA
Monica Lam, Professor CS, Director OVAL Lab, Stanford University
