If I load the Home Assistant Almond addon it shows my Hue lights in the Skills and I can control them using Almond.
If I load Geni it shows my lights in Skills but I cannot control them.
If I use a clean HA install and load Geni first then the hue lights the lights appear in the Skills and I can control them.
Not sure if this is a bug or I am doing something wrong.
What do the Log messages say? You can find them in HA under Configuration → Addons → Genie/Almond → Log
If you are using the client then you should see the logs in terminal window. Or you can type the command in the HA Genie/Almond console.
It could just be the HA ‘friendly name’ is too different to what you are saying.
Hi - the logs don’t say anything. I can’t type a command and get Genie to do anything with the lights.
It picks up existing lights and works fine with an Almond install. If I do a Geni install the only way I can get it to recognize the lights is to install Geni first then add the Hue lights - it then works fine.
